CKR Ranch

Proud breeders of Myotonic Fainting Goats and Miniature Silky Fainting Goats

All myotonic kids sold as breeding stock will be registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR) or the Mini Silki Fainting Goat Association (MSFGA).

Registration applications will be sent in to the MGR or MSFGA before the kids leave the farm. The registration certificates will then be sent back to me from the MGR or MSFGA. I will then fill in and sign a transfer application and send the certificate and transfer application on to you. You will then be responsible for transferring the kid into your name.

You must be a member of the MGR and MSFGA to do any registrations with them.

If you wish to register with the International Fainting Goat Association (IFGA), you may do so but the goat must have the same name as is registered with the MGR, must have the farm prefix of CKR, and we CKR Ranch must be listed as the breeder. The IFGA fees are your responsibility.

I consider the possession date the day that the animal leaves the farm, either picked-up, put on with a livestock hauler or taken to the airport.

All possible precautions are taken to ensure our animals health and safety while in my care.

In the case of accidental death or injury, I will contact you and either refund your deposit or give you a choice of a replacement animal if one is available.

When an animal leaves the farm they are your responsibility. I am not responsible if the animal is injured during transport.

All hauling/shipping fees are your responsibility.

Methods of shipping include ground hauling, ship by air, or pick the animal up yourself.

This is the cheapest method, but in my opinion the worst. I have never used it myself and I do not recommend it. Ground hauling is very stressful on the animals and the risk of exposure to disease is high.

It will be your responsibility to arrange transportation with a ground hauler if you wish to use this method. If I have to meet the hauler away from the farm, there will be transport fees charged.

Be aware that I will refuse to let any animal be shipped if I am concerned for their health or safety!

This is the least stressful method for the animals but depending on the number of animals being shipped it could be expensive.

The airlines require special crates for animals being shipped. In addition to the cost of the flight you will be required to pay for the cost of the crate as well.

The airlines have size and weight restrictions. Depending on size and weight you may be able to ship two animals in one crate.

The nearest airport is Ottawa, Ontario.

This is the preferred method.

If you plan to pick up an animal at our farm, make sure you have prepared a safe environment for transport.

Be aware that I will refuse to let any animal be shipped if I am concerned for their health or safety!

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the purchase price is required to hold your selection.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a sale at any time. In this case, your full deposit will be returned. Deposits will not be returned if you change your mind and decide you don't want the animal.
